Coffee and fitness, is it possible to combine the two? Well, we can tell you that in Uralla, yes you can! The owners of Pulse Fitness, Selina and Ben did a major renovation and opened Piccadilly Coffee Bar at the front of their gym. You'll find them in the picturesque little town of Uralla, in the highlands of New England and it's been a great success.
The name Piccadilly is a nod to Selina's UK London heritage and has become popular for locals in the town as the place to go for coffee. The original building itself was fairly nondescript with an ordinary façade of orange brick topped off with a light green roof. But Selina and Ben transformed the building to house the coffee bar and gym. The brickwork and roof were painted in a coat of dark steel grey, which makes the foliage of the gardens and new timber features pop right out. A hole was cut in the front wall of the building to make way for a beautiful timber servery window that opens up onto a large timber deck. This is a favourite spot for their patrons who can sit in the highland sunshine and sip away at their lattes.
On the bench in the Piccadilly coffee bar you'll find a La Marzocco 2 group Linea Classic, Anfim SP2 Grinder and a Cinoart tamper. All of this gear is used to make a great coffee from the Champion blend of Artisti coffee beans. To accompany your coffee, you'll find they have an amazing menu with regular specials and a host of delicious treats that will have you working double time in the gym next door.
More recently they've added a nice indoor area to escape any inclement weather or winter chills. It's alive with lots of plants and greenery which creates a relaxing atmosphere for you to kick back and enjoy your coffee.
You'll find the great coffee in Uralla when you visit Piccadilly Coffee Bar, located on 31 Hill Street in Uralla and they are open Monday to Friday from 6am. They open 7am on Saturdays and after a slightly longer sleep in on a Sunday they open at 8am.
