Our Christmas party this year was another major hit and a great way to celebrate the end of the year and our achievements through 2021. Around 50 people joined in for the festivities this year which included plenty of drinks, amazing food by The Palmetto, a few speeches, awards and our super fun latte art competition.
To begin, lets talk about our first ever Artisti barista of the year award which was presented to Jimmy and Linny from 3 Toes Creations in Woolgoolga. These guys have only been in business for less than 12 months and already they are off to a flying start. They operate serving takeaway coffee out of a beautiful vintage style caravan in Woolgoolga and the locals can't get enough.

Jimmy and Linny were presented the award as recognition for their absolute and constant pursuit to excel in everything they do around coffee. Prior to opening they spent hours upon hours tucked away in our training room here at the roastery, working on their skills. They have worked extremely hard to represent Artisti, themselves and the coffee they serve in the best possible way and we commend them on that.
Next in the night came our ever popular latte art competition that has been completely dominated over recent years by Katilin from Nambucca Boatshed Cafe. Kaitlin was back to defend her title this year and in the last round it came down to an all female grand finale, where she had to pour out against fellow Nambucca Boatshed barista Sarah, as well as Kate who was representing Green Room Cafe in Crescent Head.

Right - Kate from Green Room Cafe
It was an extremely close final round but yet again Kaitlin reigned supreme with a beautifully poured latte to take out the 2021 title. Congratulations Kaitlin, we look forward to seeing you back here again next year!

This year we had the amazing crew from The Palmetto serving up delicious 'real southern cookin' sliders from their little blue caravan. Let's just say no one went home hungry! If you're on the Coffs Coast and need someone to cater your party or wedding then definitely give these guys a holler. Their food is amazing. Thanks to Ed and Lindsay for catering this years Artisti Christmas party!
It was a great night here at the roastery with plenty of good vibes going around and we thank everyone that was able to join us. 2021 was certainly not without it's challenges but everyone in the Artisti family has pulled through and turned the year into a success. We've learned a lot this year, made plenty of positive changes and have set ourselves up for big things in 2022.
