How to Brew a Coffee Drip Bag

Mastering the Art of Using a Coffee Drip Bag: A Step-by-Step Guide

For coffee lovers on the go, the coffee drip bag is a game-changer. This convenient method offers the quality of a pour-over without the need for bulky equipment. Whether you’re at home, at work, or camping, a coffee drip bag ensures you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee anytime. Here’s a simple guide to help you master the art of using a coffee drip bag.

Step 1: Open the Drip Bag

Start by tearing open the outer packaging to reveal the pre-filled coffee filter inside. This filter bag is filled with ground coffee, ready for brewing.

Step 2: Set Up the Bag

Next, open the filter bag and place it over the rim of your cup. Most drip bags come with little paper arms that secure the bag on the cup, ensuring it stays in place while you pour.

Step 3: Pour Hot Water

Boil some water and let it cool for a moment to around 200°F (93°C), which is the optimal temperature for brewing coffee. Slowly pour hot water over the coffee grounds till the water level reaches the top. Stop and allow for the water to drain through before repeating the process 2 more times.

TIP: for a stronger brew, use a cup that allows for the bottom of the coffee drip bag to sit in the water as you brew. For a lighter flavour, remove the bag quickly after your 3 pour throughs.

Step 4: Remove and Enjoy

Once all the water has dripped through, carefully remove the drip bag from the cup and discard it. Give your coffee a quick stir, and it’s ready to enjoy!

Using a coffee drip bag is a fantastic way to enjoy a high-quality cup of coffee with minimal effort. It combines the precision of pour-over brewing with the convenience of instant coffee, making it perfect for any coffee enthusiast.
