Every component, from the iconic gem-shaped knobs to the iconic gem-shaped handle, has been designed with meticulous care, using materials and finishes that convey strength and durability. Other distinctive features include the double manometer, now presented with a renewed design, and the new drip tray, with an improved shape for easy cleaning.
Tactile Experience
The knobs, the levers and the portafilter offer a feeling of solidity and precision, inviting you to interact with the machine and “get hands-on".
Knobs
Featuring iconic gem-shaped knobs, the design showcases meticulous attention to detail, with materials and finishes chosen for their strength and durability.
The new wooden design delivers greater ergonomics and an improved user experience.
Portafilter
Compared to the classic design of MaraX, the portafilter included with MaraX3 features a handle with a circular cross-section and a metal core that ends in a pentagonal shape, echoing the design of the tamper.
The weight of the metal embedded within the wooden handle provides greater ergonomics and an improved user experience, assisting the user in the gestures of attaching the portafilter to the grouphead. Additionally, the increased length of the handle enables the user to have more leverage when clamping the portafilter to the group, reducing the effort required.
Lastly, its robustness facilitates the removal of ground coffee from the filter when knocking on the knock box rod.
Tamper
The classic LELIT tamper profile found in the MaraX becomes more geometric in the MaraX3, with a closer resemblance to a pentagonal shape.
This design update also includes a change in color, carefully chosen to aesthetically harmonize with the extraction, hot water, and steam knobs, as well as the portafilter. This cohesive look is a key characteristic of the new LELIT design, where the tamper visually echoes these important elements.

MaraX3, integrating Pagaia, inextricably correlates with flow control, distinctively linking that functionality to LELIT.
As our groundbreaking flow control system, Pagaia is at the heart of our upcoming product line, making us the first to offer a flow control experience across the entire range.
With the user experience at its core, the lever movement offers unprecedented precision and customization for each cup of coffee. Its design incorporates a dedicated finger space, facilitating a fluid and linear motion for effortless control.
We chose the Italian name “Pagaia” to evoke a sense of PERFORMER, CONTROL, and POWERFUL JOURNEY, and the new visual design will convey the notion of Craftsmanship, Made in Italy, and Experience.
