Coffee in Ethiopia is usually sourced from many smallholders and produced by a larger cooperative for sale. This coffee is different. A single farm, a passionate farmer, focus on process and quality. Esyas Beriso Arere operates Guribea farm, high up in the red clay soil of west Guji at an impressive 2350 masl. Meticulous picking and thoughtful processing contribute to a clean and vibrant cup that tastes of its origin. Farming here is organic by default and the slow drying process on raised beds helps develop a distinct character defined by stone fruit, cherry and milk chocolate. We love that we can feature a microlot of this quality and with full traceability to boot.
