This lot comes from a microlot separated from the main Kigina Hill crops after showing a distinct and exceptional flavour profile. Kinama receives cherries from 92 farmers based on Kigina Hill and is located in Ntahangwa Commune in Bujumbura Mairie Province. One of the most heavily involved is Gaspard Nahimana. Gaspard tends 3,800 coffee trees at various stages of maturity. Farming at 1,730 masl, he delivers around 250 kg of cherries each season to the Kigina microlots. Coffee income has supported his children’s education, including one currently studying at university, and he aims to expand his farm to 5,000 productive trees.

El Puente

"We look forward to the beans from this region and producer each year. The coffee is outstanding offering flavour and body without bitterness. The purchasing experience was awesome - delivered to regional Qld within 5 days of purchase via Auspost (NOT Aramex)"

Juicy

"This filter roast is sweet and juicy as an espresso. It has a long, deeply flavoured after-taste. I've found that pulling the shot at 6 bar really brings out the sweetness."

I won't be Bach! (Beethoven)

"Hi, Delivery was fast, just up the highway to Byron. The Burundi tasted ok at first extraction, however it gradually found its feet on subsequent days, rewarding my patience with distinct flavours and mouthfeel. I don't want this bag to end, but I've ordered so many coffees lately that I'll just savour the remaining beans. I'll be back!"
