By simply turning the knob on the EKG base, you can select your desired temperature ranging from 57-100 degrees Celsius. The selected temperature is displayed on the small LCD screen on the base, and will show the real time temperature as the water is heating up.

When the toggle on the back of the base is switched to HOLD mode, the Stagg EKG will maintain your desired temperature for 1 hour. When the toggle is not in HOLD mode, the kettle will go to sleep after reaching the desired temperature.

The Stagg EKG also features a built-in brew stopwatch to time your extraction after your water is heated.
